Ubisoft reveals Assassin’s Creed: Unity alpha footage, no Wii U version

A new officially released piece of alpha footage was uploaded to the Assassin’s Creed French YouTube channel, featuring a short look at the next game entitled Assassin’s Creed: Unity. Through the footage we can see what appears to be 19th century buildings and the Notre Dame cathedral in the back drop, signifying this game takes place in Paris. Given the setting and the fact that a guillotine makes it’s appearance at the end of the clip, it’s probably safe to say that this Assassin’s Creed will take place during the French Revolution, where King Louis XVI was decapitated.

The beginning of the video states “Next-gen starts here” and the end of the video showcases logos for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It looks like the Wii U will be left behind by Ubisoft, as I predicted in my article here.
