ARMS runs at 1080p and 60 fps when docked

Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct revealed a bunch of news about Arms, the upcoming brawler for the Switch. But it didn’t get into the technical details and specs of the game.

Luckily, the guys over at Digital Foundry did their analysis of Arms, and they confirmed that the game runs at full 1080p and 60 frames per second when in docked mode.

When in 2-player split screen mode, the resolution drops to 900p, while the frame rate stays at 60. And when 4 players are playing the game, the resolution again drops to 900p and this time to just 30 fps.

You can check out their analysis in the video below. There’s still no word if the game runs at 60 fps while in portable mode, but it’s highly likely that it does.

Arms launches exclusively on the Switch on June 16.
