As we previous reported, Max Brass, the final boss in ARMS, is coming as a free, playable character this month. Today, Nintendo announced that he’ll be available to play starting July 12th.
As far as we know, you’ll only need to download an upcoming update to play as Max Brass, there shouldn’t be a free DLC to “purchase.

This is just the start of ARMS post-launch DLC release. Nintendo stated, prior to the game’s launch, that DLC for the game will be entirely free. That means new fighters and stages at no extra cost.
