App Launcher now rolling out to Chrome’s new tab page

Chrome’s app launcher was exclusive to Chrome OS, but Google’s effort to spread its features across platforms is taking it to the desktop. We have shown you how to activate the experimental feature with Google’s homepage before, but now we are starting to see the app launcher in Chrome’s New Tab page, as well.

The app launcher for Chrome’s New Tab page is not quite ready for prime time, though. It’s rolling out to computers with Chrome Beta, Canary or Dev Channel. You can go ahead and download those if you want to test out this and many other features. Just remember these are not stable versions, so you will run into bugs and issues more often.

I still haven’t gotten the app launcher running Chrome Canary, but let us know how it’s treating you if you have it!
