Here’s what to expect from Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival [VIDEO]

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival still doesn’t have a concrete release date and Nintendo has been rather quiet about the features of the game, but a hands-on from GameXplain showcases some of the features of the game.

Most notably is that there are 12 different boards, with a different board for each month. The boards are crafted to resemble the months as well, so December is filled with snow, while the November board has fall colors. Each turn in the game passes a day in the month, with 30 turns per board. The goal of the game is to get the most happy points to win.

Of course, it all sounds very much like a Mario Party-style board game with much less frustration. The difference between Mario Party and Amiibo Festival is that there are no mini-games, but rather small vignette scenes that explain the pieces you’ve landed on.

What do you think of what we’ve seen so far?
