Amazon.de lists Project CARS for pre-order, no Wii U version listed

Project CARS has had an interesting ride since its first announcement. The game originally targeted last-gen consoles as well as current-gen, before the decision was made to axe those versions so that the development team at Slightly Mad Studios could focus on the current generation of consoles. This has led some to believe that the Wii U version is cancelled, despite the development team not saying anything about it.

A pre-order page is now available on Amazon Germany for the game, listing the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 formats as available for pre-order. The curious thing about this is the Wii U version is entirely missing and we haven’t heard anything from Slightly Mad Studios about it.

The last thing we heard regarding the Wii U version of the game is that it is delayed behind the other versions, similarly to what happened with Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs. Of course, Ubisoft eventually delivered Watch Dogs to Wii U owners, but Slightly Mad Studios and their publisher Bandai Namco have been strangely silent when asked about the Wii U version of the game.

Time will tell if we have another Aliens: Colonial Marines on our hands, but things aren’t looking good for the Wii U version of Project CARS at the moment.
