We knew it wouldn’t be long before another Skylanders game came to fruition, especially since Disney have announced Disney Infinity, a direct competitor in the world of digital toys. Skylanders Swap Force is the next installment in the Skylanders series and it will be available on all of Nintendo’s platforms.
While the focus of the last game was on new larger Skylanders called giants, as suggested by the name, the focus of the new game will be on the ability to swap out components on your various Skylanders. Each character will come with a top half and a bottom half, allowing you to swap out the various halves and create new characters of your own.
No release date has been announced for the game, but given Activision’s propensity to turn franchises into yearly releases, we think it’s safe to say this one will be available by the holidays.
