In the wake of recent Sony announcements, I thought it would be fun to do a bit of speculation. Early this morning Sony announced the Vita TV box, which allows consumers to play certain PS Vita games, as well as downloadable PSOne and PSP games. The device comes with 1GB of memory for built-in storage and enables all the remote play features between the PS4 and the PS Vita. This is certainly an interesting concept, but what if we applied it to Nintendo products?
Imagine if Nintendo created a device that allowed you to insert all of your favorite 3DS games and play them on your TV, similar to how the old GameBoy SNES cartridge allowed you to insert GameBoy games on your SNES and play them on the TV. This could be super tricky for games that rely on touch controls, but if the Wii U GamePad could be incorporated into the controls somehow, it might work.
Another plus to this would be being able to play all virtual console releases on the box, regardless of 3DS, Wii, or Wii U availability. I think that would be a really big bonus.
