15 EA games skipping Wii U because of game engine

EA recently revealed that they are not investing in Wii U games, and that heavy hitters such the next Madden was skipping the console. EA has been one of the least supportive third party publishers on the Wii, and it looks like it’s not getting any better anytime soon.

EA Wii U gamesWe previously reported that Frostbite 3, the new, state of the art game engine from EA’s DICE studio, will be skipping the Wii U because Frostbite 2 ran poorly on it. Now it’s revealed that EA has 15 games in the pipeline that are built using Frostbite 3. And all of those games are skipping the Wii U, unfortunately.

Among the games skipping the Wii U are the next Need For Speed racer, the upcoming multiplayer shooter Battlefield 4, the next Mass Effect game, and the next Dragon Age game as well.

However, don’t panic. The Wii U is still getting plenty of cool third party games. Ubisoft is bringing Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed 4, and Rayman Legends later this year. And Warner Bros. is bringing Batman: Arkham Origins to the Wii U as well.

Not to mention the tons of first party Nintendo titles. Among those are a new 3D Mario game, Mario Kart U, Super Smash Bros U, and Zelda Wind Waker HD. Check out our top 10 Wii U games at E3 2013 for more.

Which brings us to our question of the day: if you could prick one EA game for release on the Wii U, which game would you pick?
