It seems like Nintendo has been teasing an open-world Zelda game for Wii U since the console’s launch, even if it hasn’t quite been that long. While many Western fans are still excited to see the game that Nintendo refuses to talk about, it seems as though Japenese interest in the game is waning quite a bit as Japanese gamers look forward to games that actually have information released about them.
In Famitsu’s Most Wanted section of this month’s release, Zelda U has slipped down to the 23rd spot, despite being at number 16 last month.

This is a slow and steady slippage of the title as we haven’t had any new information for a while now, despite having two Nintendo Direct presentations since E3.
Perhaps Nintendo will talk more about it in a January Direct? What do you think?
