Earlier this month a rumor popped up that suggested Zelda: Breath of the Wild may not be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch is slated for a March release and this new listing from Target’s online store seems to lend weight to that.

The new listing is for the Wii U version of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and its listed as launching June 13th. If this release date is true it seems Nintendo could be coinciding the release with E3 and perhaps a big promotion of the game across both the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch. While retailers have been known to get it wrong in the past, it makes sense.

We still think it’s a bad move for Nintendo to launch the Switch without Breath of the Wild as a launch title, as it’s currently the most well-known Switch game and easily the most anticipated thanks to the numerous promotions Nintendo has already done for the game.
