Wii U sold less than 4,000 units in Japan last week

The latest weekly sales from Japan show no improvement for the Wii U: the console sold just 3,896 units last week, compared to 23,239 units the PS4 managed to sell.

That’s a big decrease from the week before, where the consoled moved over 7,000 units in Japan. The Nintendo 3DS is doing much better, selling over 13,000 units, good for a second spot behind the PS4.

When it comes to games, the Wii U had 3 on the top 20 best selling games list: Splatoon at 9, Super Mario Maker at 10, and all the way down: Star Fox Zero at 18.
