With the release of Media Create sales this week in Japan, the Wii U has finally managed to sell 3 million consoles within the region. Since the console launched in 2012, it took about three years to get to that point. It should be noted that the PlayStation 4 just crossed 35.9 million consoles sold worldwide, but has only sold 2.3 million in Japan so far.
