In an effort to boost sales in the UK for the holiday season, Nintendo has announced three new bundles for the Brits. This is likely a strategy for Nintendo to get rid of some of the discontinued Basic Wii U sets, as the 8 GB version is included in two of the three bundles.
The first bundle includes a 32 GB Wii U and a copy of New Super Mario Bros U + the Super Luigi U expansion. Both games are included on the same disc.
The second bundle includes an 8 GB Basic Wii U set with a copy of Just Dance 2014 + Nintendo Land. The third bundle includes the same 8 GB Basic Wii U set and a copy of Wii U Party + Nintendo Land. Both 8 GB models also include an extra Wiimote.
All three bundles will be released in November, and will retail for £250. The 8 GB bundles are in limited supply, as Nintendo is trying to get rid of the Basic stock and focus on the 32 GB Deluxe version.
The new bundles should provide a healthy boost in sales in the region. Wii U console sales went up almost 700% with the release of Wind Waker HD in the UK.
