Ubisoft says Splinter Cell and Rayman Legends sold poorly

During a conference call today, Ubisoft has revealed that Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Rayman Legends have had lower than expected sales. The Wii U version of Splinter Cell was notably abysmal with only 10k sales, but the entire game sold poorly across the board, with only 300k copies sold. It’s not surprising to see the Wii U version of the game lacking in sales, as the local co-op of the game was completely removed for the Wii U version.

Rayman Legends was also down in expectations, despite performing better on the Wii U than any other platform. It should be noted that the seven month delay the title experienced probably hampered Wii U sales even more, considering the delay moved the title into a very busy holiday season.
