The Nintendo World Championship trophy looks awesome

Nintendo has revealed the trophy award which will be given out at the upcoming Nintendo World Championship, and it looks pretty darn awesome. Nintendo is bringing back the Nintendo World Championship for the first time in 25 years, which will be held at E3 next week.

Those who will be competing in the Championship have gone through a qualifying process, playing in qualifying rounds all over the US. The very best of them all will be crowned at E3, and will receive the gold-plated Mario trophy, seen above.

The tournament will feature eight different games, including Splatoon and Zelda, although Nintendo is yet to reveal the full list. We do expect the most competitive Nintendo game to be there: Super Smash Bros (which will soon get Ryu and Roy as characters).

The Nintendo World Championship takes place on June 14.
