8Bitdo’s retro, NES-inspired Bluetooth gamepad now works with the Nintendo Switch, thanks to a firmware update. If you have one of these lying around, now is a good time to dust it off, because they are pretty good controllers.
However, they lack certain functionalities on the switch, mainly rumble and motion controls.
The 8Bitdo “NES30” retro controller was released a few years ago and have bene well received by gamers for their accuracy and ergonomical design. They aren’t cheap however: you can get it on Amazon for about $40.
But if you already own one, try it out on the Switch — so far reports indicate that it’s working great on the new console.
