According to reports, retailer Target will have at least 20 SNES Classic consoles in stock on launch day, September 29th.
Nintendo has promised that they will deliver far more consoles than their previous retro console, the NES Classic, which was sold out during its entire production run.
The company has said they have “dramatically increased” production of the SNES Classic to meet demand, Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime recently said “I would strongly urge you not to over-bid on an SNES Classic on any of the auction sites. You shouldn’t have to pay more than $79.99.”
And if the first reports are true, Nintendo definitely seems to have increased production to meet the insane demand. We’ll know how it all works out when the SNES Classic launches next week.
