Switch dominates Japanese sales with 70K units sold last week

The Switch has been outselling its main rival in Japan, the PS4, pretty much every week for the last several months. And last week, the lead extended even more.

Nintendo’s console sold over 73,000 units last week, almost a doubling compared to the week before. That’s compared to just 22,000 PS4 units sold.

On the games front, the Switch was equally impressive: 5 games in the top 10, including the Switch version of FIFA 18 (which in the UK accounted for only 1% of sales).
