Super Mario Odyssey sells 2 million copies in 3 days

Super Mario Odyssey launched last week to great reviews and reception from fans. And the sales back it up: the game has sold 2 million units in its first 3 days on the street.

Nintendo commented briefly on the sales in a Q&A with investors, where they added that they hope Super Mario Odyssey can “be seen as an evergreen title that has longevity in the market beyond this holiday season.”

Yesterday Nintendo revealed that the Switch had sold 7.6 million units to date, and now they’re expecting it to sell 17 million units by April 2018.

Meaning that the Switch will outsell the Wii U’s entire lifetime sales in just one year.
