Nintendo has been adding new costumes to Super Mario Maker at a steady rate, giving players something to work toward. So far, all of the new costumes that have been added have been from Nintendo games. One Shovel Knight fan decided to get to work to create a Shovel Knight costume for the game, which you can see below.
Shovel Knight is to date, the only amiibo that isn’t compatible with the game, as the others all have small sprites designed to be unlocked by the Mystery Mushroom. The Shovel Knight amiibo is the only third-party amiibo to date. Redditor Haykira decided to create their own Shovel Knight sprite, just to see what the character would look like in the 8-bit costume style of the Mystery Mushrooms. Nintendo, we hope you see this.
