Some GAME customers being charged 5 times for their Super Mario Maker pre-orders

If you pre-ordered your copy of Super Mario Maker within the UK from GAME, you may want to check your bank or credit card statements. Several reports from people who have pre-ordered with the outlet have surfaced, with some being charged as much as £234.95 for their pre-order of the game.

Customers who reported the issue on Twitter were quick to receive a response from the outlet ensuring that the charges would be reversed, but some reports are showing that GAME is continuing to charge people for the pre-order and the cash hasn’t been refunded yet.

This isn’t the first time GAME has experienced issues with its billing system, either. Fans who pre-ordered the Metal Gear Solid V Collector’s Edition found themselves overcharged for the £99.99 price point and several customers who pre-ordered the regular game found their orders canceled.

If you have noticed that you’ve been charged too much for your pre-orders, be sure to contact GAME to make sure you’ll be getting a refund for the amount charged. GAME’s own Twitter account confirms that the company is investigating the issue and refunds will be issued within 24 hours, but it’s better to be safe than sorry, especially if you’ve been charged up to seven times, like some people.
