A Square Enix developer recently tweeted that they have started working on a Switch project. The developer, Takashi Tokita, has been with Square Enix for decades, and worked on games like Chrono Tiger and most recently, I Am Setsuna.
There was no hint at what the Switch project was, all he tweeted was “Top-Secret Mission Begins!” in Japanese, alongside a picture of a Switch console at his work desk.
If work on the game just begun, it will take a while before we see the results (unless it’s a quick port of some of the publisher’s already released games).
