A huge update for Splatoon is coming tomorrow, but Japan could be getting something that the rest of the world isn’t just yet. According to a recent report from a Japanese blog, a costume based on the Ika Musume (Squid Girl) manga will be added to the game. There’s no pics of the costume, but according to the leaks it consists of a hood, dress, and shoes. According to leaks from Famitsu, it’s likely there will be a male equivalent as well, to keep gear options fair.
We don’t know if these costumes will be made available outside of Japan, but with the update going live tomorrow we should see if we’ll get the option. Check out this short video below to see the character from the manga that the costume will be based on.
