The client has begun rolling out to eShops in other regions. We’ve downloaded it from the US eShop so far.

Although the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event doesn’t start until next weekend that hasn’t stopped Nintendo of Japan from putting the client up on the Japanese eshop.

If you have a Japanese account, you can download if now and listen to the sweet menu music. Trying to get into the game gives you a notification that the servers aren’t available yet. The client is 408MB and switches to English if you have your Switch’s language setting is in English. How convenient.
The testfire servers will be available from March 24-26. We’ll be sure to let you guys know if other regions get the download in their eShop updates later this week.
