Nintendo is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise in style, but including the Pokemon in as many games as possible. We’ve already seen Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games released on the Wii U virtual console and the original starter Pokemon added to Super Mario Maker, but Nintendo just couldn’t leave Splatoon out of the celebrations.

Next week marks the beginning of a new Splatfest, on February 19 and ending the following night on February 20. Players will be fighting for their respective favorite original Pokemon game, Red vs. Blue. This Splatfest is also being released simultaneously across the globe, but you’ll only be paired with players from your region, so make sure you represent your favorite team next weekend!
