Today it was announced that Danish developer Full Control will be releasing their turn-based strategy game set in the Warhammer 40k universe on Wii U. Space Hulk will feature 12 missions for single player, as well as several maps for a co-op experience. The trailer above is for the PC launch of the game, but the developers announced today that the game will be coming to Wii U, PS3, and PS Vita.
According to the developers, the game is heavily based on the “Sin of Damnation” campaign from the 3rd edition of the Warhammer board game. Multi-player works by giving one player control of all the space marines on the board, while another controls the Genestealers, which are the main antagonist in the game.
We are simply honored to bring this legendary universe to consoles everywhere. Having played the board game years ago and being a big fan of Games Workshop products, our decision to make this journey was a natural one’ expressed Manny Granillo, President & CEO of HR GAMES. ‘The PS3, PS-Vita and Wii U™ with its unique GamePad controller, will make the SPACE HULK® universe come to life!
Any Warhammer 40k fans excited about this news? I’ve always thought that real-time and turn-based strategy games would have a natural home on the Wii U, thanks to the touch interface.
