Sony’s global head of sales and marketing, Jim Ryan, recently praised Nintendo in an interview with Edge magazine, saying that it’s great to see the company “back” in the game and doing well with the Switch.
He also said that Nintendo is known for being disruptive and doing things differently, which takes time to show in the marketplace.
“It’s still very early. Many things Nintendo does are so disruptive and different that it takes quite a long time to understand them, and I don’t think we’re at that stage yet with Switch.” Ryan said in an interview with Edge, adding “it’s great that they’re back, it’s great to see them doing so well.”
This isn’t the first time Sony has praised Nintendo and the new Switch console. Another Sony boss, Shawn Layden said that the Switch is a “great success and it’s what Nintendo fans have been waiting for.”
And not to be outdone, the biggest boss at Sony, CEO Kaz “Riiiidge Racer” Hirai also had some good words for Nintendo, saying that a “strong Nintendo is good for the gaming industry“.
