During today’s Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata announced that Nintendo has entered into a “worldwide partnership” with Sega on Sonic games, with the first game from this partnership being called Sonic: Lost World. Scant few details were released about the game including the above screenshot, but we do know it’s coming to the Wii U and the 3DS and if you want to play it, you’ll need to do so on those Nintendo consoles.

More information is expected to come in the next Nintendo Direct, which is scheduled to be released shortly before E3. Iwata’s statement on the game is as follows:

“Sonic: Lost World is a brand new action-adventure platforming game that will launch exclusively on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.”
