Super-Smash-Bros14

A new update for Super Smash Bros. has been released, with the major change being several maps adding the ability to support 8 player Smash mode. When the game originally launched, only a handful of maps were designed to support having the large number of players on screen. With today’s update, 15 new maps have been added to the mode. Those maps are:

  • Mario Circuit (Brawl)
  • Luigi’s Mansion
  • Pyrosphere
  • Norfair
  • Lylat Cruise
  • Pokemon Stadium 2
  • Town & City
  • Smashville
  • Wii Fit Studio
  • Mario Galaxy Ω
  • Mario Circuit (Brawl) Ω
  • Great Cave Offensive Ω
  • Lylat Cruise Ω
  • Pokemon Stadium 2 Ω
  • Town & City Ω

In addition to adding more stages to 8 Player Smash, the update also included a few fixes that weren’t detailed in the notes, but mentioned performance improvements and fixed issues to allow the game to be more enjoyable. Either way, it looks like those of you who ponied up for two Wii U adapters and the GameCube controllers are about to have a lot more fun!
