Super Smash Bros 3DS patch addresses Peach ban hammer issue

For the few lucky souls already able to enjoy Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 3DS, a new patch has been issued to address a big ongoing concern. Namely, a bug where players using Peach in the game’s For Glory online mode were being automatically banned by Nintendo’s flagging system.

The issue is caused by the game seeing Peach’s Down + B ability as an item, and items aren’t allowed in For Glory. This patch should allow players to use Peach without any issues. It sounds like it should either be fixed out of the box or be available as a day one patch by the time the game reaches European and North American shores on October 3rd.

For those still on the fence about whether to get the 3DS version alongside or over the Wii U’s version a demo will be available in the eShop starting today. It’ll feature a total of 5 characters — Link, Pikachu, Mario, Villager and Mega Man — who can go toe-to-toe on the stage Battlefield. Let us know if you’ll be giving it a spin whenever it goes live!
