With Pikmin 3 shipping next month, Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that he is working on a brand new franchise for Nintendo platforms. Miyamoto has stated that he’s busy working on the new title and he once again hinted that his team will be bringing something brand new to Nintendo fans. No specific details were given so the title in development remains a mystery, but we’re certainly curious.
“I think it’s about time we brought out a new franchise. I can’t give out details, but that’s the title that’s been keeping me pretty busy lately.”
Nintendo critics and fans alike have been calling for a new franchise for Nintendo consoles for several months now, so hopefully the new franchise will be revealed before the end of the year.
