Today Nintendo reported on its fiscal year, with several changes in leadership taking place for the next fiscal year. Saturo Iwata is assuming the role of Nintendo of America Chief Executive Officer, directly overseeing current Nintendo of America President and Chief Operating Office Reggie Fils-Aime. This change in board members will see Iwata replacing NoA chairman and CEO Tatsumi Kimishima, who will return to Nintendo’s Kyoto headquarters as a General Manager of Corporate Analysis and Administration.

Nintendo have released a statement saying the company is committed to unifying the company’s global strategy and the new positions for board members will allow for “streamlined decision-making and enhance Nintendo’s organizational agility”.

Net profits for Nintendo reached only half of what the company predicted, with just 7 billion yen in profit.
