Reggie and Nintendo of America tackle the Ice Bucket Challenge

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has swept the nation in a viral effort to raise more money for ALS.org, a charity dedicated to funding and researching the development of new treatments for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS. This disease is commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease in the United States, as the famous Yankee retired after being diagnosed with the illness. Perhaps the most famous person alive today with the disease is theoretical physicist Dr. Stephen Hawking.

Regardless, earlier this week Xbox’s Phil Spencer challenged Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime to the ice bucket challenge and Reggie accepted over Twitter. Today, we see the results of that challenge, where Reggie and the entire team at Nintendo of America have taken the challenge. It’s a great heart-warming video, and remember that Ubisoft’s CEO has challenged Shigeru Miyamoto to join in on the fun.
