Rare amiibo getting restocked in Europe this summer

If you missed your chance to get the Villager, Marth, or Wii Fit Trainer during the first wave of amiibo, it’s likely that you’ve been unable to find more. Nintendo has acknowledged the problem publicly through their Nintendo Direct presentations, but very little information has been relayed about when the company will be producing more stock. One amiibo fan emailed Nintendo customer support in Germany to ask when restocks would be available, especially considering new waves of amiibo are releasing later this year.

According to the customer service representative, Europe can expect a restock of amiibo sometime this summer. Nintendo has sold 5.7 million amiibo worldwide since they launched last year in November and the demand has far exceeded the supply, making it very hard to find amiibo until Nintendo re-releases them.

We will reproduce several amiibo, which have been sold out after only a few hours. This will take some time. We sold our 5.7 million amiibo worldwide, which exceeded our expectations. This is also a reason that our production is delayed.

So this summer sometime Europe will get a restock on amiibo. It’s likely that North America will see the same restock around the same time. Are there any figures you’re still having trouble getting?
