Sega held a Sonic Panel at the SXSW game event in Austin, which just revealed the name of Project Sonic 2017. It will officially be called Sonic Forces.
Sega says the game’s name comes from the fact that it will explore the forces of good and evil.
The game will be running on Hedgehog Engine 2, which is the sequel to the same engine used to make Sonic Generations. The game will feature non-linear level design like Sonic Generations with multiple paths throughout the levels to complete the game.
