Pokken Tournament DX debuts at no.1 spot in Japan

Pokken Tournament DX (DX for Deluxe) launched on the Switch last week and the very first sales numbers are out. The game did very well in Japan, where it debuted at the number 1 sales position with 53,395 units sold.

That’s more than twice the sales of the second best selling game: Splatoon 2 with 21,897 copies sold.

Pokken Tournament DX is a re-release of the Wii U version, which was released last year, itself being based on a Japanese arcade game released in 2015.

The Switch version of Pokken Tournament includes five new fighters: Decidueye, Croagunk, Empoleon, Darkrai, and Scizor.

The game also supports the Pokken Tournament controller on the Switch.
