After speculation that the game’s announcement would be coming soon thanks to a trademark filed in Europe, it’s finally official. Pokken Tournament is headed to the West. The announcement was made during the Pokemon World Championships, which you can watch above.
The game has been hinted at as a console title since the developers began speaking about the game, so it’s nice to see Nintendo step up to fan demands and plan a home console version of the arcade-only title.
The current release date is set for worldwide release in spring 2016. The combination of Pokemon characters fighting from Tekken producers is a unique mash-up that’s never been done before.
