Today Niantic Labs opened registration for a Pokemon Go field test within the United States. The official website now lets users pre-register for the game and participants will be chosen at a later date. If you do happen to be selected for the field test, you’ll be required to have an Android or iOS device to participate and all information about the field test must be kept confidential.
It should go without saying that any progress you make during the field test will be wiped before the game launches later this year. Niantic also reminds those signing up for the field test that the app is still in active development and as such, has a limited set of features and bugs and glitches that haven’t been fixed yet.
