Platinum Games has been getting flak from gamers recently for the decision to make Bayonetta 2 a Wii U exclusive. Many gamers feel the release should be multi-platform, since the original was multi-platform. Taking to Twitter, one fan asked Platinum developer Hideki Kamiya why the developer went with Nintendo as a Wii U exclusive. Kamiya fired back that Bayonetta 2 isn’t possible without Nintendo’s backing.
Idea? There was no way other than that. RT @snatch_the_fox: Who’s idea was it to make Bayonetta a Wii U exclusive ?

Many people assumed that Nintendo snatched up the Bayonetta IP from Sega in order to “prove” itself to hardcore gamers, but it could be that the Bayonetta didn’t receive the sales Sega expected and so they refused to publish another multi-platform release. With backing from Nintendo, Platinum is free to develop the game they wanted. What do you think?
