During the Nintendo Direct today, Satoru Iwata announced that Pikmin 3 would be receiving new downloadable content in the form of new mission modes. An update for the game is also available right now, improving the global ranking feature so you can see the highest score in the world for each stage.
Currently additional mission mode packs for the game are being sold for $1.99, but a single free mission is available for those who download the update.
