Back in May, Dutch electronics company Philips announced that it was suing Nintendo for patent infringement. The company filed lawsuits against Nintendo in four jurisdictions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.

Today, Philips announced that it won the lawsuit filed against Nintendo for patent infringement related to motion tracking in the Wii console in the UK. The results for the suit in three other locations is still pending, but it seems like Nintendo may have to fork over some cash for this one if an appeal isn’t granted. Either way, Nintendo has been in hot water for patent lawsuits and trolls before and managed to come out just fine.

Just this past week, a district court in Texas declared that a patent suit filed against Nintendo was invalid because the concept of the patent was too vague to enforce.
