NPD Group sales numbers for February

NPD-Group

Unlike Japan’s Media Create, which releases sales numbers for consoles and software on a weekly basis, the North American based NPD Group only releases numbers on a monthly basis. They’ve finally gotten around to releasing numbers for February, providing us a look at the top ten selling software titles in the United States, as well as a rough estimate of how each console is doing.

The sad news here is that despite being released in February, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze didn’t even crack the top ten list. It should be noted that DKC: Tropical Freeze released on February 21, so it only had about a week of sales unlike other titles. Perhaps we’ll see it in the charts come March.

Bravely Default garnered enough sales for it to crack the top ten, which is a miracle for a JRPG on a handheld here in America. Check out our Bravely Default review to see if the game is worthy of your attention.
