Nintendo: Zelda Wii U will be released “when it’s ready”

Nintendo: Zelda Wii U will be released

Of all the game makers in the world, Nintendo is the one company that does’t really care about release dates. If a game isn’t ready, it won’t be released. As Shigeru Miyamoto once said, “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad”. Nintendo lives by that mantra.

Recently, the company announced that the upcoming Zelda game for the Wii U would be delayed so that they can create a “unique experience beyond expectations“.

Nintendo of America’s Scott Moffitt recently doubled down on that, saying that the Zelda Wii U game will be released when it’s done and when “it’s fully featured”.

In a recent interview, Moffitt said:

“We want that to be the best Zelda experience. Fans have been waiting for and deserve a game when it’s ready, when it’s fully featured and when it can live up to what we would like to deliver”

Nintendo had originally planned to showcase Zelda at E3 last month, where they reportedly had some “phenomenal footage” of the game.

Zelda will be released on the Wii U in 2016, however, there have been rumors that Nintendo’s next console might be released in 2016 as well. Which makes us wonder: will this Zelda game also be released on the new NX console?
