Last night was the 18th annual DICE awards, where digital and interactive media released the year before are honored in their respective categories. The game that stole the show with 8 awards was Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, but the game that took the Game of the Year award was Dragon Age: Inquisition. Despite this, Nintendo won a few awards of its own in other categories, including fighting & racing game of the year. Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo 3DS was also crowned the handheld game of the year, so if you’ve yet to pick it up on Nintendo 3DS, this might sway you.
