Nintendo UK store is cancelling amiibo pre-orders

While the West Coast port strike in America can certainly be partially accountable for the low amiibo stock experienced in that region, you have to wonder what Nintendo’s excuse is this time, considering the Nintendo UK store is now cancelling pre-orders for orders they’re unable to fill. We’re receiving reports that Nintendo UK store has begun cancelling any orders they don’t have the stock to refill and those listings will be removed from the main website in order to prevent more orders from being made.

The email received by those who have experienced this cancellation seems to hint that Nintendo UK store will not be seeking to restock once they’ve run out of their initial supply. You can find the letter below:

Thank you for placing order 47084006 with us.

We are sorry to inform you that we have now cancelled your order for Shulk No.25 amiibo as the item is no longer available and our team are working to have the item removed from the website.

If a payment has been debited from your account for the purchase, we will refund you automatically and this will be reflected on your bank statement within 5 working days.
