Hey you. Yeah, you. The guy/gal with the Nintendo Switch. I get it. You’re having fun with your new console. Exploring the giant world of Breath of the Wild, taking in everything there is to see. It’s an amazing experience and believe me, I’ve been doing the same thing. Only, there’s a problem you should know about.
You see, the Nintendo Switch screen isn’t made of glass. It’s made of plastic. And unlike glass, which is a pretty hard substance, plastic is pretty easy to scratch. “But I’m really careful with my consoles, I always treat them with respect.” I hear you saying to yourself. I’m sure you do. I do myself. But.. that’s not enough.
It turns out the dock that comes with the Nintendo Switch can scratch the screen. It’s only been out a few days and this is just the evidence of that use. Imagine if you’re using it daily, pulling it in and out of the dock. Remember how the Nintendo 3DS screen could be scratched by the upper housing plastic? Same thing here.
