Monday April 3rd will mark the first full month of the Nintendo Switch being available and it’s also coincidentally when we’ll reveal our own review of the Nintendo Switch. A member of the NeoGAF forums was curious to see how well the Nintendo Switch launch titles have ranked among critics, so he composed the following chart to showcase the range of scores.
Snake Pass isn’t included in this list because it doesn’t have enough reviews yet and pure exclusives are highlighted in green, exclusives to Nintendo are in yellow, timed exclusives are in blue, while console exclusives are in purple.
This division of how the games line up for the first month appears shows just how important third-party support is for Nintendo, but also having a wide catalogue of platform-exclusive titles to attract attention to the console. It’s nice to see that there’s only two extremely poorly rated games listed among the launch titles, while the rest appear to be received pretty well.
I think this bodes well for Nintendo’s strategy of trickling out content to keep Switch owners happy through the holidays, as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 will certainly help keep gamers tided over through E3 when we’ll get more information about Nintendo’s holiday plans.
