GameStop has Nintendo Switch in stock this week

Nearly 5 months after the launch of the Nintendo Switch, it can still be a test of patience in finding one at a retail store near you. If you haven’t been lucky enough to snag one on Amazon for the brief periods they’ve been available, GameStop will have stock of the units this week, starting July 17 through July 21.

GameStop hasn’t mentioned how many units they’ll be sending to each store, but they are encouraging you to call your local business to see whether or not they’ll be getting new stock. And as always, GameStop is setting back some of this new stock for its over-priced bundles.

“GameStop secured an additional allotment of the Nintendo Switch systems available for purchase as individual console systems, or as a part several top-selling online bundles.”

So far, the company is advertising three different bundles with a price-point that starts at $459 and goes higher, depending on the bundle you pick.

Nintendo Switch Multiplayer Bundle – $459

  • Nintendo Switch with gray Joy-Con
  • Splatoon 2
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Switch racing wheel two-pack
  • Switch Splatoon 2 game traveler case

The Nintendo Switch Kid-Friendly Bundle -$479

  • Nintendo Switch with gray Joy-Con
  • Splatoon 2
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Snipperclips
  • SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSD with adapter

The Nintendo Switch Must Have Fan Bundle – $499.99

  • Nintendo Switch with neon Joy-Con
  • Splatoon 2
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion (digital)
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

So there’s quite a bit of difference in the bundles and they might be worth it depending on your level of investment and the games you want to buy. If you can’t get your hands on the base $299 Switch, the Must Have Fan Bundle seems to at least be worth the money with the amount of games you get and their individual cost. There’s no discount, but you’re not getting overcharged either, which is an accomplishment for GameStop.

Nintendo eShop Card – $20
