Early last year we reported that Nintendo would be merging its device development teams, which have traditionally been separate entities. The team behind console development and the team behind handheld development would finally become one team, and Nintendo needed a new building in order to make this happen. It’s been in construction for some time now, but Kotaku recently revealed what it looks like on the outside.
It’s very similar to Nintendo’s Kyoto headquarters building, though the windows are much more striking in this new development studio. Additionally, the oval surrounding the word Nintendo makes a return on all the logos of the building, while the word Nintendo is just blazoned on the headquarters. This new building is where all future console and handheld development will happen, so you’re looking at the future home of whatever Nintendo decides to produce next.
